Karv Solutions (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the Jocial mobile and web application (the “Service”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your information when you use our Service.

By using Jocial, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information You Provide

• Account Information

Email, username, password, profile photo, bio.

• Photos & Media

Images and videos you upload.

Note: We remove EXIF metadata (camera model, GPS) by default unless you enable it.

• Location Information (Optional)

We may collect:

  • o City-level location
  • o Neighborhood-level location
  • o Precise GPS location (only when you enable it)

You can disable location anytime.

2. Information Automatically Collected

  • • Device information (model, OS version, language)
  • • App usage and activity
  • • IP address (for security and fraud detection)
  • • Crash logs & performance analytics

We do not collect precise location without your explicit consent.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  1. Provide and operate the app
  2. Display your posts to users you choose
  3. Enable location-based discovery (if allow it)
  4. Detect fraud, abuse, and security threats
  5. Improve performance and features
  6. Provide support and respond to inquiries
  7. Enforce our Terms of Service

We do not sell your precise location data.

4. How Your Content Is Shared

4.1 Photos

Your photos are visible based on the audience you select:

  • • Private (only you)
  • • Followers / Friends
  • • Public
  • • Custom list

You can change visibility per post.

4.2 Location Sharing

Location is only attached to a post or profile.

We show:

  • • City or Neighborhood by default
  • • Precise location is shown on the post.

5. How We Protect Your Data

We use:

  • • HTTPS/TLS encryption in transit
  • • Encryption at rest for images and precise coordinates
  • • Role-based access controls
  • • Rate limiting to prevent stalking patterns
  • • EXIF stripping server-side automatically
  • • Encrypted and access-controlled backups

6. Third-Party Services

We may use:

  • • Cloud storage (e.g., AWS, GCP)
  • • Analytics providers (aggregated, non-identifying)
  • • Moderation services for detecting harmful content
  • • CDN for faster image delivery

All third parties are restricted from using your data outside our instructions.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • • Access and download your data
  • • Delete your account and data
  • • Correct inaccurate information
  • • Withdraw consent for location at any time
  • • Opt-out of analytics (where applicable)

9. Children’s Privacy

We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

If you believe we have collected data improperly, contact us and we will delete it immediately.

10. International Data Transfers

Your information may be processed in countries outside your residence.

We use standard contractual protections where required.

11. Updates to This Policy

We may update this policy. Material changes will be communicated by:
